Fight Racist Campaign Against Black Women

Hi everyone,

Check this out. I have been on the advisory board of the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice for ten years now, be sure to let them know how you feel about this.

The logic is totally ludicrous. Isn't it obvious that racists certainly would not try to deny abortion to black women, they would promote it. Racists, such as the feminist heroine Margaret Sanger, did in fact promote abortion/eugenics in minority communities toward the betterment of society.

Margaret Sanger was born in the late 1800s and died decades ago yet I keep hearing anti-choice advocates bring her up as if she actually represents modern day pro-choice advocates. Really? And all modern day White male politicians believe Black people are inherently inferior to White people because we are clearly in a time warp and a day hasn't passed since the death of Thomas Jefferson. I consider the "remember Margaret Sanger" joke as much a bigotted insult to my intelligence as much my boyfriend might consider the "remember Thomas Jefferson" joke. And I say joke because it truly is one. Disclosure- I am a Black, White, American Indian, Latina, pro-choice womanist. My boyfriend is a White, prochoice and a moderate feminist.

I am sorry that facts, and logical conclusions from them insult your intelligence. What does anything your incoherent rant have to do with the racist campaign against black women? OK, you don't like Margaret Sanger. Good, neither do I. It doesn't matter to me that she died decades ago. So did Dr. Martin Luther King. What's your point, that her views are outdated? Then pro-choice advocates should not revere her and put her on a pedestal. Sanger was a controversial figure in her time, and continues to be so to this day. She accomplished many great things for women's rights; however, and this is a big however, do you recall the Negro Project? Hitler did some great things for Germany too (the autobahn, Volkswagen, trains on time); however, its kind of hard to get over the holocaust thing. Is the purpose of your "disclosure" an attempt to be more relevant, and put me down? Do you think that your argument is more relevant because you are of mixed race, and dating a white man? Do you think your argument has more validity because you and your white boyfriend have lighter skin than I do? That's not an argument at all. That's racism. The real racist campaign against black women, is not denying them abortion, it is abortion. Please visit the website "blackgenocide.org."
