Complete the Dream: A Gospel Celebration
2:30pm - 3:30pm / Sanctuary
Founded in 1986 by East Village actor and singer Jerriese Johnson, the choir has sung at Carnegie Hall, on The Today Show, and in the annual New York City Pride March. This multiracial choir sings a mixture of gospel, pop, spirituals, and more. They draw an international audience online and in worship at Middle Church. We celebrate the legacy of love that this choir stands for during Pride month and on the anniversary of Loving Day, when the Supreme Court ruled it legal to marry someone of another race. This choir will move your feet, lift your spirit, and stir your soul.
The choir is directed by John Del Cueto and accompanied by Dionne McClain-Freeney and the Middle Church Band.
Suggested Admission is $20 for general seating. There is a sliding scale for tickets—pay what you can or donate generously. Your contribution will reserve your ticket. Doors open at 2 pm for the 2:30 pm concert. Proceeds support racial and LGBTQ justice at Middle Church.
