Middle Church Stands for Immigration Reform

January 31, 2018

"America has a fear problem. We fear that those whom we do not understand are fundamentally different than we are and, therefore, threaten our way of life. These fears must be dismantled with light. This hatred must be driven out with love." —Rev. Dr. Jacqui Lewis

Below are a variety of stories and ways to stay informed and involved, working toward just reform in the immigration industrial complex.

As one of our core beliefs at Middle Church, we believe there is no such right as manifest destiny, nor a Doctrine of Discovery, presuming the ability of Europeans to take land already occupied by human beings. The creation of borders to enhance the coffers of the rich has led to outrageous and inhumane treatment of immigrants and refugees. We support DACA and DAPA and stand against ICE raids that separate families.
