Pride Sunday, June 25

PRIDE WORSHIP CELEBRATION, 11:15 am
Bishop Gene Robinson, the first openly gay Episcopal Bishop, guest preaches "Dancing the Night Away." Senior Minster, Jacqui Lewis, leads worship. Our Jerriese Johnson Gospel Choir and the Middle Church Choir share on-your-feet music including the pop song, "Roar," and pieces from LGBT composers. This is a Sunday not to be missed.

HERITAGE OF PRIDE MARCH, 1:30 pm
Join the Middle family as we celebrate “Love.Period.” and march with our float featuring the Jerriese Johnson Gospel Choir. Meet in the 7th Street lobby at 1:30 PM (with Allison, Christina, and Marte) to travel together to the assembly point via subway. Our marchers will assemble at 2:00 PM at 41st Street, Section 7, between Park Avenue and Madison Avenue. Take the 6 train to 42nd Street/Grand Central and walk west and south to 41st Street—Fifth Avenue will be closed. Dress in comfortable shoes, wear sunscreen and a hat, and carry some water. No large bags or backpacks.

If you would like to create signs for Sunday's march, pastor Rob Stephens will gather people Saturday, June 24 from 5 -7 pm. Email Rob, rstephens@middlechurch.org, if you would like to help us create homemade signs.
