As we mourn the lives of Alton Sterling, Philando Castile, and the five police officers, we weep, we pray, we act. A central part of our faith as we lament and dream new dreams is worship. Watch the sermon, gospel, and folk music as we mourn the violence and racism throughout America.
"Black Lives Matter. And the life of every person is precious. The spilling of blood must be replaced by radically loving activism for justice. Please. Let's not get into either/or thinking. We can be complex in our love. We can be revolutionary in our activism. We must decry the violence. Grieve the loss of the fallen--African Americans killed at the hands of the police AND the police killed while protecting peaceful marchers. " The Rev.
