CONGREGATIONAL LIFE AT MIDDLE CHURCH
Living God's reign includes celebrating the goodness that is part of our world. We are lifted up in community activities-- kayaking on the Hudson, baseball games at Shea stadium. We have congregation members who perform at Joe's Pub, others on Broadway; some have been doing poetry as far back to Ginsberg's time. We both host events and go out to other places to support congregation members and enjoy their gifts. Please check our calendar for classes, gospel choir rehearsals and our Middle Mixers. ADULT BIBLE STUDY AND LIVING THE WORD
Two adult education programs on Sunday mornings make theology & Bible Study relevant today. Come at 10:00 AM for a lectionary study or Living the Word. Afternoon seminars may focus on race, culture, gender issues or human sexuality. We may have talks about peace or classes on how to manage finances. The whole person is nurtured at Middle Church. DANCE PRAYER
"It's all grown-up play inspired by the Divine Child," says choreographer-dancer and Middle member Kathy Duncan. She will lead the group in creating praise for the eye of God using structured dance improvisation to the world's sacred music. Participants should wear comfortable clothing. No special training required - move at your own comfort level. Second Tuesdays at 7:00-8:00 PM.
