The Village Chorus for Children and Youth
One of the ways we teach our children the importance of a community that rises for racial, LGBTQIA+, and economic equality is to teach our children to sing. Youth learn a diversity of music from Beethoven to the Beatles to Broadway. They gain confidence and the congregation pours love into them.
The Village Chorus for Children and Youth sings once a month in worship celebrations and have performed at Joe’s Pub at The Public, The Lower Eastside Girls Club, and the New York Public Library.
The chorus rehearses Sundays at 1:00 to 2:15 pm, late September through June. There is no cost to participate but children should have a love for music, a strong desire to learn, and the ability to read. Contact the director,John Del Cueto, at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
