Advent and Christmas tell the story of God’s radically in-breaking love. From parents conceiving who had lost all hope, to defying an emperor and Christ’s own incarnation in vulnerable, refugee Afro-semitic baby flesh, we proclaim the birth of holiness against all efforts to stop it. As we move through a season in which we so badly need fierce love to be born again in our midst, join a collective study about what it means to celebrate a just Christmas. Each week will feature a different Middle clergy reflecting on that week’s Advent theme, and how we see it embodied in the gospel.
