Children’s MLK Day Program | Jan 15

Children join staff in the social hall at East End Temple for a book read and art project celebrating the dream of Martin Luther King, Jr. We’ll sketch out the world we wish to see together and spend time creating love notes for the young folks living at the Sarah Powell Huntington House with the Women’s Prison Association. We are encouraging gently used book donations from BIPOC authors/celebrating BIPOC characters and/or monetary donations so that we may buy new books from our partners at Yu & Me Books to donate. Adults join us for our KING TEACH-IN  throughout the day at East End Temple. Rabbi Joshua Stanton will join Rev. Dr. Jacqui Lewis after worship, and our two communities will learn together. For those of us who will join us online, the 11:45 a.m. worship and 1:30 p.m. teach-in will be streamed and is absolutely free! Learn more here.
