Christians must care for victims and end gun violence.

Congress isn’t the only organization that has been shamefully complicit to unending gun violence. Too often, the Church has been, at best, silent and at worst an active participant in worshipping firearms. This betrays the gospel, and the one who promised that those who live by the sword will die by it. Moreover, our national conversation about gun violence too often ignores the people who are most impacted: victims and their loved ones. To answer God’s call, we must center victims’ voices, care for suffering and grief, and do everything in our power to stop further harm.
