Reparations Listening Circle

For a year and a half, a Reparations Task Force has been convening to think faithfully about what it means for Middle to engage in reparations. They’ve been studying our history—the complicity of this church to enslavement and indigenous genocide—and how the legacy these evils still among us. And they’ve been researching how we can work in partnership to repair this generational harm.

But the work of reparations is deeply relational and, as such, the entire Middle community is invited to listening circles. Here, you’ll hear what the Task Force has been up to, and you’ll provide valuable insight as to where you’d like the Force to focus moving forward.

AYou are invited to join a second Listening Circle on Sunday, October 17th at 3:00 p.m. ET or Tuesday, October 26th at 7:00 p.m. ET. These events will build on the material presented in this first session, and provide collaborative space to talk about how we’ll do the work of reparations together, and guide our Reparations Task Force’s next steps.
