Reparations Listening Circle 2 – Option A

Reparations is ongoing work. It’s not something that any congregation or organization can accomplish in a single effort, but a call to fundamentally restructure how we live as a community. It’s a call to intimately know the ways the past haunts our present, that we might collectively labor to repair what is broken.
Our Reparations Task Force has been studying the history of the Collegiate Churches, our complicity to slavery and the theft of indigenous land. This archival work is ongoing, but we are also shifting to conversation about what it demands of our church in this moment. If you attend our Reparations Listening Circle on Sunday, September 29, you are invited to join a second event to share your thoughts and hopes about how Middle should work for reparations.
(If you are unable to attend that event, a video recording will be posted on this page. But you are asked to either attend or watch the recording to attend the second listening circle, as we will build on information presented in the first.)
If this day and time does not work, there will also be another opportunity to participate in a second listening circle on Tuesday, October 26th at 7:00 p.m. ET. (These will be the same event, so please join one or the other.) We look forward to doing this work together!
