Safe Space Concert with Trey Pearson

In 2016, Trey Pearson was on top of the world: A chart-topping Christian Rock star with his band Everyday Sunday, they released several hit singles and were poised to continue growing in clout and prominence. But Trey was holding a secret: He was gay. When he came out, it shocked the Evangelical Christian world, and caused many to condemn a musician they once praised. But it also started a journey of personal growth, healing and self-acceptance that changed his life.
On Thursday, June 22 at 7:00 p.m. ET, join Trey at West End Church (245 W. 77th St.) for a stop on his Safe Space Tour. The show is a mix of music and storytelling, as Trey recounts how coming out helped him better know and feel God’s love, and truly love himself. It’s a tender and intimate show, one that reveals the beauty of Trey’s own transformation and invites us into our own. The show will be followed by a reception with light food and drink, an opportunity to meet Trey and share our own stories with one another.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. This concert is totally free and open to all.
