DESCRIPTION:On June 20th\, BLIS Collective is hosting “Reclamation Day: A Reunion ofHope“\, a large-scale\, immersive cultural gathering organized as a direct counter-commemoration of America‘s 250th. \nThis gathering will bring together 50+ artists\, organizers\, and cultural leaders. They will guide participants through three experiential zones: Reclaim\, Repair\, and Reimagine. Reclamation Day will be a self-guided experience featuring art installations\, documentaries\, live murals\, panels\, opening remarks from President Shannon Holsey (Stockbridge-Munsee Band of Mohican Indians)\, Rev. Jacqui Lewis\, and Nkechi Taifa\, as well as a closing performance featuring Mato Wayuhi and Brooklyn’s own\, rap superstar\, Joey Bada$$. \nReclamation Day is our experiment in how art and culture can shift public memory\, deepen solidarity\, and move people from reflection into participation. \nPlease visit the registration page for specific activation times\, more information\, and to secure your ticket today!
