Children’s Multicultural Book Fair

One of our most anticipated annual events is back for its SEVENTH year!We care deeply about putting diverse authors and books into the hands and bookshelves of children. We know that by centering narratives that explore the multiple races, faiths, gender identities, and sexual orientations of our city, we help to spread love, compassion, and inclusion into the world.
We invite you to save the date for our Children’s Multicultural Book Fair, taking place on Sunday, November 19, 2023, from 1:00 – 3:00 pm ET at East End Temple (245 East 17th Street) on the Lower Level.
Beloved authors like Jamia Wilson and Jay Hulme will offer live book readings, the Pupten Show will help us emcee the event, and we will have free raffles with interactive stations engaging art, music, and justice.
This year, we’ll be carrying titles to purchase featuring half banned books, half new books. We believe that censoring human identity is a violation of our rights, and so we’ll be highlighting important titles. We are excited to continue to partner with Yu & Me Books, and 10% of all proceeds come back to Middle Church.
While this event is geared towards grades Pre-K through 5th, we will have an additional YA section of titles to browse.
