The wonderful Marty will be our fearless leader on Sunday March 27 and he’s asked that I post this on his behalf. Have fun!
Scripture: Luke 15:11-32
Sermon: “Do We Want to Be Found?” by Rev. Amanda Hambrick Ashcraft
This is the story we grew up with and it was titled, “The parable of the Prodigal Son.”
But Luke tells it as the third of three parables about something lost so I’ve linked to the full chapter.

The study group I’m in on Monday evening (The Old Heretics Club) just finished a book by Amy-Jill Levine called “Short Stories by Jesus: The Enigmatic Parables of a Controversial Rabbi,” which provided for me new perspectives on the parables.
I found a video of AJ talking about these three parables that may spark some discussion.

Have a great Saturday and I hope to see you in the morning.
