We. Did. It!!!
Because you were SO generous, we raised $741,507.70 toward our offering goal of $725,000. We did this with small mustard seed gifts and with amazingly large donations; we did this with one-time special gifts and with new recurring donations. We did this because we all know the work of Middle Church is dismantling systems of oppression as we reclaim and reframe Christianity.

Middle Church has made a long-term commitment to advocate and support the ongoing relief efforts for the people of Puerto Rico. From July 1-6, a Middle Church Youth team comprised of students ranging in age from 12 to 16 years old join hands-on service projects in the Miraflores area in Puerto Rico, largely focused on agriculture as this community continues their own rebuilding and resiliency efforts post-hurricane.

Dear Middle Family,
OH. MY. GOSH! Our Queer Faith benefit was amazing, wasn't it?
Thank you so much for coming out and celebrating life, art, and justice work at the intersections of racial and LGBTQIA+ justice. I cannot imagine a more Middle Church way to celebrate Juneteenth and Pride!

We celebrated the Jerriese Johnson's 33rd Annual Spring Concert on Sunday, June 2, 2019. The choir celebrated the legacy of Jerriese Johnson, an artist and a black gay man with an unforgettable spirit who founded the choir. Rev. Gordon Dragt, our former senior minister, awarded choir director John Del Cueto the inagural Jerriese Daniel Johnson Spirit Award for all the passion and dedication that John pours into the choir each week.
Relive the concert below:

At Middle Church, we celebrate PRIDE all year long.
There’s a lot happening in June to celebrate Pride and to commemorate 50 years since the Stonewall Riots that were a huge catalyst for social change. As a nation, we still have work to do, and we hope you will join us as we celebrate, plan, and march together this month.

Prayer given on Sunday, June at Middle Collegiate Church by Reverend Amanda Hambrick Ashcraft
Gather us in, O God.
Find us here, holy Spirit.
Calm the fears we bring with us today. If, for even a moment, allow us to find peace in knowing that we are loved by you–that we are children of the divine.
We celebrate with you today, God of creation, the beginning of the month of PRIDE.
