Village Chorus for Children & Youth
One of the ways we teach our children the importance of a community that rises for racial, LGBTQIA+, and economic equality is to teach our children to sing. Youth learn a diversity of music from Beethoven to the Beatles to Broadway. They gain confidence and the congregation pours love into them.
The Village Chorus for Children and Youth sings once a month in worship celebrations and have performed at Joe’s Pub at The Public, The Lower Eastside Girls Club, and the New York Public Library.
The chorus rehearses on Zoom Sundays at 1:00 to 2:15 pm, late September through June. There is no cost to participate but children should have a love for music, a strong desire to learn, and the ability to read. Contact the director, John Del Cueto, at jdelcueto@middlechurch.org for more information.
