Celebrate Women's History with Middle
Women's history is God's history. From the God who proclaimed herself El Shaddai (literally "the God with breasts") to Mary, who co-labored with God to birth Love into the world, to women like Shiphrah and Puah, Esther, Jael, Miriam, Mary Magdalene and Phoebe, women's hands have delivered God's justice. And this biblical story is reflected in our human story: We owe a staggering debt to women like Sojourner Truth, Harriet Tubman, Grace Lee Boggs, the Grimké sisters, Billie Holiday, Dolores Huerta, Robin Wall Kimmerer—the endless list of women who have nurtured liberation. This month, join us for worship and events that will highlight and celebrate this history—and how it shapes the story we now write.
