Worship is Celebration!
Due to concerns about the coronavirus, all in-person services and programming will be canceled until further notice. But we invite you to join us online for our 11:45 a.m. celebration, which is livestreamed to our homepage and Facebook and YouTube channels.
We don’t hold “services” at Middle Church. Every Sunday morning, join us at 9:30 a.m. or 11:45 a.m. as we celebrate the Love Revolution at work in the world and in our lives. Our choirs rearrange our cells with the power of their music—gospel, classical, Broadway, and world music sung with wide-open hearts, and lyrics that speak to our souls. You can feel the choirs testify about their own faith through their finely hewn harmonies. You might find dancers on the pews and puppets in the pulpit.
Although we are unable to celebrate in person during this pandemic, our worship is no less joyous! Our incredible worship team puts together a gorgeous celebration each week, featuring a mixture of virtual choir performances and beautiful pieces pulled from our archives. And our preaching fiercely meets the call of this moment!
Senior Minister Jacqui Lewis, a prominent preacher on the national stage, mixes rigorous scholarship, vulnerable personal stories, psychology, humor, and hope in sermons to comfort our hearts, illumine our minds, and encourage us to build a more just society in the name of God. Buddhist, Jewish, Sikh, Muslim, and Atheist neighbors are welcome and worship with us. Our message is universalist Christian, believing God speaks more than one language, all leading to Love. Period.
