"Twenty-five years ago, I was addicted to heroin and homeless in Tompkins Square Park. I now have 24 years clean. As I rode my bike near Tompkins Square Park recently, a woman from Middle Church asked if I would like a sandwich. When I was homeless, I went to soup kitchens, but I went there, they did not come to me. I will always remember how grateful I was at that moment when I opened the bag lunch that she gave me. This kind gesture was overwhelming. God Bless, Joey."

You feed people like Joey in Tompkins Square Park and Sara D. Roosevelt Park each Sunday with brown bag lunches from spring to winter each year.

$250 provides 180 free bagged lunches, our Butterfly Ministry, to the hungry in the park each week.
