Middle Church is a multicultural, multiethnic, intergenerational movement of Spirit and justice, powered by fierce, revolutionary Love, with room for all. We are an LGBTQ+ and Queer-affirming church, committed to healing souls and the world by dismantling racist, classist, sexist, ethnocentrist, ableist, and cisheterosexist systems of oppression.

In a context in which far too often, faith is hijacked to serve empire; when hope can be elusive: where do we go from here? How do people of good will and moral courage find their footing, sustain relationships, and build movements rooted in love and liberation? Join a convening of artists, activists, authors and good-trouble-agitators, all working to build a more just society with spirituality justice and the arts.

Come home to fierce love this Christmas Eve. Middle Church invites you to a night of soul-stirring worship where gospel and classical music collide in a harmony that will move your heart and spirit. This isn’t your ordinary Christmas Eve — it’s a revolution of love.
Together, we’ll sing, shout, and proclaim that light still breaks into the world, no matter how dark it gets. No matter who you are or where you come from, there’s a seat for you here. Bring your full self — your joy, your grief, your hope, and your doubt. There’s room for it all.

Through Love, we are each created in God’s image and filled with the Divine Spark. No matter whom we love, no matter how we look, no matter where we are on our journey, God’s imprint is in every person of every race/ethnicity, every gender, and every sexual orientation. We believe God speaks many languages and is calling us on many paths to peace—Shalom. We believe that Love put on flesh—brown, poor, Jewish baby flesh—and came to live among us. We believe God lives among us still; we are the living body of Christ. We are the hands, feet, and heartbeat of God. We believe the Spirit of God calls us to freedom, and we are not free until all of us are free.
