White Christian fascism is rising in this country, in part, because we have so badly distorted the story of who Jesus is. An honest reckoning with Jesus’ politics as depicted in the gospels is impossible to reconcile with the racist, anti-immigrant, pro-gun, and anti-abortion policies that are too often defended in his name. This Holy Week, join a conversation between two of the country’s foremost theologians to truly ask: What Would Jesus Do?
