DAY ONE: BE WELL

We cannot effectively love our neighbors if we do not love ourselves. Particularly in these overwhelming days, caring for your body and spirit is essential. Rest and revival are the foundation on which we build a movement. So, we will begin our conference with deliberate time to nurture ourselves and one another. Take a healing yoga class, explore breathwork, receive massage or reiki treatment, or sit and meditate. Our daily keynote and panel will focus on the role of rest, pleasure, playfulness and healing in justice movements, and healing workshops will be led by local practitioners. To carry this theme throughout the conference, wellness workshops will also be available to begin the second and third day.

DAY TWO: DO JUSTICE

As fascism rises, there are so many crucial issues. Often, we feel pulled in a thousand directions: Antiracism, labor rights, reproductive freedom, gun violence, climate catastrophe, queer liberation, welcoming migrants, affordable housing and more demand our attention. Sitting with all of that can feel paralyzing—particularly in an election year! So, what’s most essential is doing something, and doing it well. Our daily keynote and panel will focus on the interconnectedness of all these justice struggles, but workshops will let you dig more deeply with subject matter experts on the causes closest to your hearts. And our community fair will connect you with grassroots organizations already doing this work! Leave with better policy knowledge and skills for organizing, inspired to take these gifts home with you.

DAY THREE: DREAM WILDLY

It’s not enough to condemn unjust systems, we must live into different ways of being. Every change begins with people who dare to envision something different. On our final day, we will model what it feels like to build communities that welcome everyone, exactly as we are. How can we curate belonging? How can we help people know their belovedness in their bones? Our plenaries will feature leaders who are birthing a better world. They will help us dream wildly about a public love ethic that calls us all into recognizing our inextricable connection. We’ll leave inspired to build a more perfect union for generations to come. Workshops will help connect work from Day 1 and Day 2, and send you back to your community rejuvenated, ready for the work ahead.
