Homecoming Worship!

Welcome home, Middle family! As we begin our 2023-2024 programming year, we have a beautiful Homecoming worship planned at East End Temple, with a reception across the street in Stuyvesant Park. This bold celebration will proclaim God’s fierce love, inviting our East Village community, the rest of New York City, and the world, “Come home to love.”
We will worship twice, at 9:30 and 11:45 a.m. ET. Between worships at 10:30 a.m. ET there will be a community fair where you can meet small group leaders to get signed up for our community groups. And after the second worship, we’ll bring food across the street to Stuyvesant Park for fun and fellowship. Not in NYC? The 11:45 a.m. worship will be live-streamed on YouTube, Facebook or our homepage, and immediately followed by an online community fair.
As our choir sings, and Rev. Dr. Jacqui Lewis preaches, we’ll also be rejoicing in a new step toward our rebuilding. This year, we will renovate the existing building at 50 E. 7th Street. This project will create space to house of Freedom Rising justice programs, and offer our community room to gather that’s all our own while we move toward building a new sanctuary.
In spite of the fire, it’s remarkable what you have accomplished over the past three years! But truly, that’s just our foundation for the justice and joy to come. Join us online or in-person, and let’s start a new year with jubilation.
