Tribeca residents believe ICE is parking at ICON’s garage at 35 Harrison Street in Independence Plaza, NYC.
What do we know?
- The garage is federally contracted and closed to the public. HSI (Homeland Security Investigations – a division of ICE) routinely parks vehicles there.
- Currently this garage holds a fleet of brand new, unlicensed SUVs – exactly the type ICE uses for abductions, and which could quickly be deployed in an ICE surge.
- 35 Harrison is .6 miles from ICE’s headquarters at 26 Federal Pl. and just 1 mile from the ICE Field Office at 201 Varick St. – both launching pads for kidnapping our neighbors.
- MAGA billionaire Steven Roth is CEO of Vornado which owns Independence Plaza where the garage is located.
