Stories That Heal

An MLK Day Event | Soul Work for Justice in a Time of Trauma
How are we caring for our hearts in this moment of collective trauma?
Following worship on MLK Day, join Rev. Dr. Jacqui Lewis and children’s book authors Jamia Wilson, Fabienne Doucet and William Electric Black for an intergenerational anti-racism training rooted in storytelling, spirituality, and soul work. Together, we will explore how stories help us name pain, heal across generations, and practice justice in ways that are honest, hopeful, and life-giving.
This gathering is designed for adults, youth, and families, creating space for shared learning and reflection across ages. A special appearance by Bernard in the City will offer a creative, child-centered way to engage themes of justice and care, making this a meaningful experience for parents and children alike.
